Speaking of fundraising...teams have raised more than $16,000 so far! Did you know that the $200 that each team is raising will provide a week of shelter and 20 meals for a person? Cool, huh? As of yesterday, Team Tower took over as the first place fundraising team, raising more than $1,100!
For each team who qualifies for the final race, we're working on creating a web page with their photo and bio information. Should be cool. Finally, here's some neat facts about our teams.
- The average age of the racers is 33. The oldest is 52. Youngest is 19.
- 10 are husband-wife teams
- 7 are sister (or sister-in-law) teams
- 16 teams are just friends
- 4 are co-worker teams
- 3 are teams who are dating
- 1 team is engaged
- 1 is a nephew/uncle team
See you on Saturday!

Forty-two teams! ACK! Team Mullen might have to step up our fundraising a bit just to ensure we make it to the finals!
Good luck to everyone on Saturday... :-)
Any chance of seeing the time that it took each team to finish the qualifying event? :)
Yes! We would also like to see the finishing times for the qualifying event. These are posted for other such races, let's see them for this one too! Had a blast at the event and think it would be fun to see where we finished overall. Great time, Big Sal!
Or in the least, send an email to each team letting them know what place they finished, and what the time was for the last qualifier. I would love to know if those small mistakes we know we made cost us the chance to compete or not.
